Thinking Positive Thoughts – The Key to Success and Happiness

Thinking positive thoughts is the ultimate key to success and happiness, though many people do not realize this.  Most people do not fully understand the power that their thinking has over their lives. 

However, think back to when you were a child and your parent or someone told you, “You can accomplish anything you put your mind to”.  This is a very powerful motivator and influencer in the young impressionable mind of a child.  If a child is told this often enough, he begins to believe that it is true. 

Now, do you see where this is going?  If you tell yourself something often enough, you begin to believe it.  So that is how positive thoughts influence your life for the better.  Thinking positive brings peace, success, and happiness into our lives.  It also helps you to function at your optimum level in life.

Some things that you can practice to harness the power of positive thinking in your life are using only positive words in your thoughts and speech, rejecting and ignoring negative thoughts, only using words in your conversation that give you feelings of happiness, strength, and success.

Practice engaging in activities that encourage positive thoughts in your life.  You can accomplish this by reading passages motivational and positive books each day.  You can minimize the negativity in your life by watching positive television shows and movies.  Cut back on watching the news – it can be depressing.

You can also feel the effects of positive thinking in your life when you strive to find the good out of each and every situation in your life.  This is difficult sometimes, but you will find that you will feel much better when you focus searching for the positive in life.

    I have noticed that positive thinking has greatly helped in my life. I used to have a real problem with depression, but I did not want to go on medication, so I tried positive thinking as a form of behavior modification. I have found it extremely helpful and rarely have extended episodes of depression any longer.

    Positive thinking cab bring a huge change in oneslf provided he/she is ready to explore the unlimited power lie within him. Just be good and you ll find good.

    You should realize that if you have developed a pattern of negative thinking over the years, then changing your thoughts and attitudes will not happen overnight.

    A large part of the battle is being consistent and persevering to achieve the goal (a more positive outlook on life). Practice makes perfect…
